THE RESOURCE DESK

Start with a better question.

Find the conversations, source links, and research habits that help put healthcare AI in context.

01

Listen to practitioners.

Explore conversations with clinicians, researchers, and health system leaders about their experience of implementation.

02

Go back to the source.

Episode notes include the resources and headline links discussed in the show. Start there and read the original material.

03

Build a research workflow.

Use the Tracker to organize implementation research and follow reported results back to the supporting evidence.

AN IMPLEMENTATION READING GUIDE

Five questions to bring to any AI claim.

1. What problem is it trying to solve?

Identify the clinical, operational, or patient need. Ask how the existing workflow works and what a useful improvement would look like.

2. Where was it used?

Look at the organization, care setting, patient population, and implementation stage. A pilot in one setting may not generalize to another.

3. What did they measure?

Look for clear outcomes, the comparison method, sample size, and time period. Distinguish measured findings from projections or testimonials.

4. What are the trade-offs?

Consider workflow changes, oversight, safety, equity, privacy, cost, and the limits the source identifies.

5. Can I follow the evidence?

Find the original source. Check its date, authorship, methods, and whether later evidence changes the picture.
